Dear TEVA members, vendors and veterinary community,
After much deliberation, the TEVA board of directors, along with past founding members, have made the difficult decision to cancel the 12th annual summer symposium being held at Horseshoe Bay Resort on August 6-8, 2020. This decision was very difficult and not taken lightly. However, our top priority is not only to provide world class continuing education but also do it in a way that protects the health and safety of our veterinary community. Due to the uncertainty of the near future and the potential public health risks associated with COVID-19, we feel that the most responsible thing to do is cancel this year’s summer meeting. The good news is that the excellent program that Dr. John Janicek has put together will not be cancelled, but rather we will push it to August 2021 at the Worthington Renaissance to be held in Fort Worth, Texas. So please save the date to attend and see the same great speaker line up at next summer’s symposium, August 5-7, 2021.
We will all miss the special collegiality that we share at this meeting- it is a big part of our year and we all look forward to congregating, learning and catching up on many good stories. We all hope that these unprecedented times that we are in will soon pass and everyone will remain safe and healthy and we will look forward to seeing you all in person in 2021.
Dr. JoLynn Joyce, Dr. John Janicek, TEVA Board of Directors, TEVAF Board of Directors
